Expanse

The Expanse end table explores a strong geometric form softened by rounded edges and organic materiality. Its two separate stone tops are shaped with gently irregular, rounded profiles, creating a distinctive split-level composition while allowing the stone’s natural tonal variation and veining to remain prominent. The tops are supported by a substantial dyed ash wood frame, with two broad vertical legs connected by horizontal supports that create a pair of open, recessed sections through the centre. Softly rounded transitions at the joints temper the table’s architectural geometry, while the visible ash grain adds warmth and movement across the frame. The contrast between the cool, variegated stone tops and the muted wood structure gives the piece a balanced interplay of texture, colour and form, with the open framework keeping its substantial construction visually light.
